GTLE Registration: Key Updates from TTAG–NTC Meeting

The leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) on Monday held a virtual meeting with the National Teaching Council (NTC) to address concerns surrounding the ongoing registration process for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).
The meeting provided clarity on several key issues:
- Accurate Information During Registration
Trainees are advised to provide correct details when filling out the registration form. Any corrections should be made through their respective institutions. - Qualification Selection
Trainees are to select “Bachelor in Basic Education” as their qualification option, not “Bachelor of Basic Education.” - Institution Swap – Gbewaa College Case
The issue of 11 affected students from Gbewaa College of Education, due to an institution swap, was raised. In response, the Registrar explained that corrections will be made after the examination.- The affected students are expected to proceed with registration.
- They will be allowed to write the examination at Gbewaa College of Education.
These clarifications were shared by Captain George, President of ATTRICONS, who represented trainees during the engagement.
Meanwhile, TTAG reminds all teacher trainees that GTLE registration is still ongoing. Trainees are encouraged to register early to avoid last-minute challenges. The deadline for registration is 28th September 2025.
The leadership of TTAG has urged all trainees to take note of these important updates to ensure a smooth registration process.
