General Eligibility
Every applicant must:
- Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
- Be of good character.
- Be not less than 18 years and not more than 25 years for Non-Tradesmen, and not more than 27 years for Tradesmen by 30th December 2025.
- Be medically fit according to Armed Forces standards.
- Meet the minimum height requirement:
- 1.68m (5’6”) for males.
- 1.57m (5’2”) for females.
- For Military Police, males must be a minimum of 1.75m (5’9”) and females a minimum of 1.70m (5’7”).
- Have 6 credits at WASSCE, including English and Mathematics.
- At least a Grade C6 in English and Mathematics for Senior High School applicants.
- GES Intermediate or NVTI Certificate for Tradesmen applicants.
- HND/Diploma/Degree as applicable for specialist positions.
Special Requirements (Category A – Army Candidates)
1. Infantry/Armour/Artillery/Military Police
- Must satisfy the General Eligibility criteria.
- Military Police requires stricter height standards (1.75m for males, 1.70m for females).
2. Engineer Corps
Applicants must hold Technical, Vocational, Diploma, or Certificates in fields such as:
- Electrical Installation
- Plant Mechanic/Fitter
- Welding and Fabrication
- Surveying
- Draughtsmanship
- Construction
- Carpentry/Joinery
- Painting/Decorating
3. Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Corps (EME)
- Must have technical qualifications in Automobile, Electricals/Electronics, Fabrication, Refrigeration, Biomedical, Upholstery, and related areas.
4. Signals Corps
- RF Engineer, Power Systems, Telecommunication Technicians, IT Specialists, Network Engineers, etc.
5. Ordnance Corps
- Diploma or Technical Certificates in areas like Radio/TV Repair, Refrigeration, Computer Science, etc.
6. Supply & Transport Corps
- Professional qualifications in Driving, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounts, etc.
7. Pay Corps
- Diploma or HND in Accounting/Finance/Business.
8. Public Relations Corps
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, English, or Public Relations.
9. Clerks & Secretarial Duties
- WASSCE with Typing/Secretarial qualifications.
10. Education Corps
- Degree in Education-related fields such as English, Mathematics, ICT, French, etc.
11. Sportsmen/Women
- Must be between 18–25 years.
- Should have proven track record in disciplines like football, athletics, basketball, volleyball, handball, hockey, tennis, boxing, taekwondo, and judo.
Category B – Navy Candidates
Includes branches such as:
- Executive (WASSCE with Mathematics & English).
- Supply and Secretariat.
- Writer.
- Stores.
- Technical (Engineering, Artificer, Radio, Radar, Electrical, Ordnance, etc.).
- Band.
- Physical Training Instructors.
Category C – Air Force Candidates
Branches include:
