BECE 2025: New Timetable Announced by Ghana Education Service, Check Here

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced a new timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). In a letter dated 24th April, 2025, GES informed all Regional Directors of Education that the final timetable for BECE has been released.
The exam will now be held from Wednesday, 11th June to Wednesday, 18th June, 2025. This change was made after the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) reviewed the original schedule.
According to the letter, “the decision has become necessary because the tentative date for the Eid-ul-Adha is Saturday, 7th June, 2025.” GES explained that after the Eid celebrations, Monday, 9th June and Tuesday, 10th June could also be declared as public holidays. Therefore, to avoid any disruptions, the BECE has been moved to a later date.
The letter, signed by Prince Charles Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instructions Division, also mentioned that copies of the new timetables for both School Candidates (SC) and Private Candidates (PC) have been sent out for circulation.

Students, teachers, and parents are encouraged to take note of the new dates and prepare accordingly. GES thanked everyone for their understanding and support as they work to ensure a smooth examination process.
