Scam Alert: Beware of Fake GES Recruitment Letter Circulating on Social Media – Gh Edu Pro

GH EDU PRO has come across a fake letter claiming to be from the Ghana Education Service (GES) about the recruitment of qualified teachers for the 2024/2025 academic year. We are here to alert our readers not to fall for this scam.

The fake letter, dated 13th February 2025, claims that GES is recruiting teachers and asks applicants to contact a WhatsApp number for further details. However, this document is not from the official GES office.

How to Spot the Fake Document:

  1. Unverified Contact Number: GES does not use private numbers or WhatsApp for recruitment processes. All official announcements are made on their website and social media handles.
  2. Suspicious Format: The letter has formatting errors that do not match official GES releases.
  3. Questionable Instructions: It mentions that people with “pending approval” or those who failed promotion exams should message, which is unusual for GES recruitment procedures.

What You Should Do:

  • Ignore the Letter: Do not share your personal details or contact the number on the letter.
  • Report It: Inform friends, family, and colleagues that it is fake.
  • Verify from GES: Always check the official GES website (www.ges.gov.gh) or their verified social media platforms for announcements.

Scammers often target job seekers, so be cautious. GH EDU PRO is committed to providing accurate information to keep our readers safe from fraud.
