Full Academic Calendar for Colleges of Education in Ghana for 2024/2025

 

The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has announced a revised academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic year for all public Colleges of Education in Ghana. This adjustment comes after recent developments in the sector. Below is a summary of the new schedule:

 

 

 

Level 400 Students (Final-Year Students)

  • 11th – 15th November 2024: Level 400 students will report to campus for orientation in preparation for their macro teaching.
  • 15th November 2024: They are expected to leave campus and begin their teaching attachment in schools.

Levels 100, 200, and 300 Students

  • 27th January – 18th April 2025: These students will return to campus for their first semester, which will last for 12 weeks.
  • 21st April – 2nd May 2025: The first semester examinations will take place over two weeks.
  • 3rd May – 14th June 2025: There will be a six-week semester break.

All Levels (100, 200, 300, and 400 Students)

  • 16th June – 5th September 2025: The second semester begins for all levels, lasting 12 weeks. Level 400 students, however, will remain off-campus and attend lectures.
  • 8th – 19th September 2025: The second semester exams will take place over two weeks.
  • 20th September 2025: The academic year officially ends.

 

This updated calendar ensures that all academic activities align with the recent changes in the education sector. Students are encouraged to plan their schedules accordingly and stay committed to their studies.
