The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has announced a revised academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic year for all public Colleges of Education in Ghana. This adjustment comes after recent developments in the sector. Below is a summary of the new schedule:
Level 400 Students (Final-Year Students)
- 11th – 15th November 2024: Level 400 students will report to campus for orientation in preparation for their macro teaching.
- 15th November 2024: They are expected to leave campus and begin their teaching attachment in schools.
Levels 100, 200, and 300 Students
- 27th January – 18th April 2025: These students will return to campus for their first semester, which will last for 12 weeks.
- 21st April – 2nd May 2025: The first semester examinations will take place over two weeks.
- 3rd May – 14th June 2025: There will be a six-week semester break.
All Levels (100, 200, 300, and 400 Students)
- 16th June – 5th September 2025: The second semester begins for all levels, lasting 12 weeks. Level 400 students, however, will remain off-campus and attend lectures.
- 8th – 19th September 2025: The second semester exams will take place over two weeks.
- 20th September 2025: The academic year officially ends.
