 Ghana has 46 Public Colleges of Education, and each of them is affiliated with a public university. These universities award certificates to students upon successful completion of their programmes.

In this article, we focus on the Colleges of Education affiliated with the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale.

The following Colleges of Education are affiliated with UDS, Tamale:

1. Tumu College of Education – Primary and Early Grade Education
2. McCoy College of Education, Nadowli – Primary and JHS Education
3. Dambai College of Education – Primary, Early Grade, and JHS Education
4. Gambaga College of Education – Primary, Early Grade, and JHS Education
5. St. Vincent College of Education, Yendi – Primary, Early Grade, and JHS Education
6. Al-Faruq College of Education, Wenchi – Primary, Early Grade, and JHS Education (Arabic Education option)

Special Note: Al-Faruq College of Education is the only college that offers Arabic Education.
