National Service Personnel to Begin Military Training on August 3, 2025 – NSA

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced plans to start a new programme that will give military training to National Service Personnel (NSPs).
This plan is part of the National Service Emergency Response Readiness Programme (NSERRP).
The idea is to give young people, especially graduates, basic military training to help them become more disciplined, physically fit, and patriotic.
This shows the President’s commitment to helping shape the youth of Ghana. He first talked about this during his State of the Nation Address in February this year.
In a meeting held on April 23 2025, the Director-General of the NSA, Mr. Felix Gyamfi, said that this military training is very important.
He believes it will help prepare young people to support national development. “This is a good step for the country,” he said. “It will help the youth become more responsible.”
Brigadier General Amoah-Boakye, who represented the Military High Command, also shared their full support. He said the military is ready to train the NSPs when the programme starts.
The training will begin on August 3, 2025. It will last for up to two months and will focus on basic military drills.
This programme is expected to help shape the future of Ghana by preparing the youth to take on leadership and national duties with pride and discipline.
