“Efforts by PRINCOF to persuade TTAG to increase the daily rate to a reasonable amount for students to contribute to the colleges for feeding have been unsuccessful over the years.”-PRINCOF

The Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) have been trying to get students to help with feeding costs, but their efforts have not worked.
PRINCOF and the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) have an agreement where a portion of the monthly allowance paid by the government is used for feeding students. Currently, the government pays GHS 400 monthly to each student, and part of this is used for food.

PRINCOF explained that the money available is not enough to provide three meals daily. This issue is important because it affects how well teacher trainees are fed in the colleges. Many students rely on these meals, and when the money is not enough, it becomes difficult for the colleges to provide quality food.
In short, PRINCOF wants students to contribute more for feeding, but TTAG has not agreed. This has been going on for a long time without any positive result.
