Official First Semester Vacation Date for the 2025–2026 Academic Year for Teacher Trainees

According to the revised academic calendar released by the PRINCOF (Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana), the first semester examinations will officially end in April 2026.

 End of First Semester Examinations

The first semester examinations for:

  • Level 100 students
  • Level 200 students
  • Level 300 students

will take place from 13th April to 24th April 2026.

This means all teacher trainees in these levels are expected to complete their exams within this period. Students are advised to prepare well, attend all papers, and follow the examination rules in their various colleges.

 Official Vacation Date

After the examinations, students will be allowed to go home for their break.

25th April 2026 has been set as the official date for students to vacate campus and begin their first semester vacation.

This break will give teacher trainees time to rest after weeks of lectures, assignments, quizzes, and examinations. It will also be a good time for students to refresh their minds and prepare for the second semester.

What Students Should Do

As the examination period approaches, students are encouraged to:

  • Start revising early
  • Form serious study groups
  • Avoid examination malpractice
  • Clear any academic or financial issues before leaving campus
  • Plan their journey home early

It is also important for students to check with their individual colleges for any additional instructions concerning clearance, hostel evacuation, or reopening dates for the next semester.

The release of the revised academic calendar by PRINCOF helps students plan their academic and personal activities well. With the confirmed dates, teacher trainees can now organize their studies, travel plans, and personal commitments without confusion.

We encourage all students to take their examinations seriously and finish the semester strong.
