Official Reopening Date for Colleges of Education and Matters Arising
This date is also for fresh students (Level 100) who have gained admission to start their teacher training journey. Continuing students in Levels 200 and 300 will also return to begin the new semester.
The official reopening date for all Colleges of Education in Ghana has been announced. All students are expected to report to school on Tuesday, 11th November 2025.
Level 400 Orientation and Teaching Practice
Level 400 students reported on 1st November 2025 for their orientation ahead of teaching practice.
The orientation was organized to prepare them for their final-year practicum, where they will go to basic schools to gain practical classroom experience.

Matters Arising
As students prepare to return to campus, there are some concerns in the education sector. The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has warned that they will take action by 7th November 2025 if their demands are not met by the government.
This may affect the smooth reopening of the colleges if the issue is not resolved on time. CETAG’s concerns are mainly about conditions of service and salary-related matters.
In addition, some college managements are yet to release the approved academic year fees to students. This delay has become a challenge because there are only a few days left for reopening, and many students are unsure of how much to pay before reporting.
One Hot Meal Policy Still in Force
It is also important to note that the one hot meal policy is still in effect across Colleges of Education.
Students, especially freshers, are advised to prepare well before reporting since they will be served one meal a day instead of three.
This means students may need to plan ahead for breakfast and supper to avoid inconvenience during their stay on campus.

What This Means for Students
Students are advised to stay calm and prepare for school as scheduled. If any changes to the date, we will update them. For now, the official reopening date remains 11th November 2025.
