Tamale College of Education Graduates 697 Students, with 401 First Class Honours

Tamale College of Education has successfully held its 11th Congregation Ceremony for the 2024 batch on Saturday, 13th December 2025. The ceremony was organized to celebrate the hard work and academic success of students who completed their programmes in JHS Education and Primary Education.
According to the summary of classifications, a total of 697 students graduated during the ceremony. Out of this number, 361 were males and 336 were females. This shows a good balance between male and female graduates, which is encouraging for teacher education in Ghana.
The results further show that 401 students obtained First Class, making it the highest classification recorded. This group included 221 males and 180 females. This achievement reflects the seriousness of students in their studies and the commitment of lecturers and college management.
In the Second Class Upper Division, 286 students graduated, made up of 136 males and 150 females. Only 10 students obtained Second Class Lower Division. Interestingly, no student graduated with Third Class or Pass, which shows a high academic standard in the college.
In conclusion, the 11th Congregation Ceremony for the 2024 batch was very successful. The high number of First Class and Second Class Upper graduates shows improvement in academic performance. Tamale College of Education continues to play an important role in training quality teachers for Ghana’s basic schools.
