TTAG Engages the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service on the Posting of 2023 Colleges of Education Graduates

The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has taken a big step to make sure that graduate teachers from the Colleges of Education are posted soon.
On June 2, 2025, the leadership of TTAG met with the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof. Frank Kofi Davis. Their goal was to get clear information about when the 2023 trained teachers will be posted to schools.
The TTAG team was led by H.E. Razak Soale, and included other important members from GES such as the Head of Legal Affairs, Internal Auditor, Head of Public Relations, and the General Secretary.
After the meeting, TTAG shared three important outcomes:
- GES has finished and submitted the full recruitment budget for all graduate teachers from public Colleges of Education.
- The budget has been approved by the Ministry of Finance and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education.
- GES is now waiting for final clearance from the Ministry of Finance before they begin the recruitment and posting process.
TTAG said that the Director-General was very sure that recruitment will happen this year. “He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent recruitment process for all affected graduates,” the statement noted.
TTAG thanked the Director-General for being open and willing to solve problems. They also called on all authorities to help speed up the financial clearance so the postings can happen quickly.
“We urge all 2023 graduates to remain calm and confident as we push for timely postings,” the statement added.
