Video: NTC Shares Two Major Updates on GTLE 25B Results and NSS Registration
The National Teaching Council (NTC) has released two important updates that affect newly trained teachers across the country. These updates were shared during and after the GTLE 25B interview with Flip Media. They focus on two key areas: access to GTLE results and National Service registration.
Below is a simple breakdown of the information to help trainees understand what is happening.
1. New System for Viewing GTLE 25B Results
The NTC PRO explained that many candidates still do not have their final school results. Because of this, the NTC has introduced a new system that controls how trainees view their licensure results.
The PRO stated:
“Because many candidates do not yet have their final school results, those who have not passed their school examinations will only be allowed to view their GTLE results once when the results are released.
However, candidates who have passed all their school exams and have been cleared by their colleges will have full access to the portal to print their certificates and all related documents.
If you have not been cleared, the system will only give you a single opportunity to check whether you passed the licensure examination or not.
This arrangement has been put in place to ensure that only fully cleared students can print their certificates.”
What this means for trainees
-
Students cleared by their colleges can log in anytime, check their results, and print their certificates.
-
Students who are not cleared will only have one chance to view their GTLE 25B results.
-
The one-time view helps them confirm their pass or fail status without printing certificates early.
-
This system ensures fairness and proper record management.
2. NSS Registration Is Not Connected to Passing the GTLE
There has also been confusion among newly trained teachers about whether passing the licensure exam is required before starting National Service (NSS). The spokesperson clarified this issue clearly:
“Your NSS has nothing to do with the NTC now. Maybe in the future, that will be considered, but for now that is not the stance. Just go ahead and register on the NSS platform and post.”

Key points to note
-
You do NOT need to pass the GTLE before registering for NSS.
-
You can register and post freely on the NSS platform.
-
Even if you are waiting for results or planning to rewrite, you can still do your NSS.
-
In the future, the policy might change, but not now.
This clarification brings relief to many newly trained teachers who were unsure about the process.
