The National Teaching Council (NTC) has given a new directive to all teacher education institutions in Ghana. In a letter dated 15th August 2025, the NTC requested that every college should upload the list of their Level 400 (final year) education students on the Council’s portal. This new move is part of the government’s Resetting Ghana Agenda, which aims to improve the teaching profession. According to the NTC, the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination will now be part of the final year examination for teacher trainees.
