Declaration of Monday, 23rd September 2024 as a Public Holiday – Gh Edu Pro

The government of Ghana has announced that Monday, 23rd September 2024, will be a public holiday. This is because Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, which falls on Saturday, 21st September 2024, is a statutory holiday.

Since this holiday lands on a weekend, the President of Ghana, following the law, has declared Monday as an additional public holiday. This decision was made to ensure that everyone can properly observe the day, honoring the memory of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
