In an interview with Joy News’ “The Pulse” show, President of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG), Razak Soale, lashed out at the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for seeking financial clearance to recruit 2,500 new teachers while ignoring the pleas of striking teachers.
“If you have the money to recruit 2,500 new teachers, why can’t you use that money to pay CETAG?” Soale demanded, his voice filled with frustration.

This outburst comes on the heels of GTEC’s announcement that they are seeking financial clearance from the government to recruit new teachers.
“Students are asking, ‘So the money is there, but the government doesn’t want to pay CETAG?’
