Police, Immigration, Fire and Prisons Services Recruitment Screening Date, Check Here
The Government of Ghana has announced new dates for the ongoing recruitment into the security services. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the screening exercise for applicants who want to join the Ghana Police Service will officially start on Monday, January 12, 2026.
However, applicants who applied to the Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and Ghana Immigration Service will have to wait a little longer. Their screening schedules will be released after January 15, 2026.
Phase Two of Recruitment Begins
The Ministry explained that the screening forms part of Phase Two of the Centralised Services E-Recruitment Portal (CSERP) for the 2025/2026 intake. This phase will focus on document checking and physical inspection of applicants.
The exercise is expected to run from January 12 to February 4, 2026. For now, only shortlisted applicants for the Ghana Police Service have received their screening dates. The Ministry stated that schedules for the other security agencies “will be updated after January 15, 2026.”
Important Information for Applicants
Applicants are required to report to their assigned screening centres with both original documents and photocopies. These documents include:
- Application summary report
- Biometric birth certificate
- Ghana Card
- Senior High School certificate
- Two passport-size photographs
- Any other educational certificates
The Ministry has warned that failure to report on the assigned date and time may lead to disqualification.
Applicants scheduled for the morning session must arrive by 7:00 a.m., while those assigned to the afternoon session should report by 12:00 noon.
How to Check Screening Details
Applicants will receive SMS messages showing their screening date, time, and centre. They can also log in to the CSERP portal to confirm their details.
