The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani has released an important notice to applicants following the release of the 2026 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
The notice, dated 7th September 2026, provides guidance for applicants who have already applied to the university as well as prospective applicants who intend to apply for the 2026/2027 academic year.
1. Awaiting Applicants
UENR has asked applicants who were waiting for their WASSCE results to take action on the admissions portal.
According to the notice, the UENR application portal is still open. Applicants are therefore encouraged to log into the portal using their e-voucher details and update their applications.
Applicants should:
- Check and confirm their Index Number.
- Review their selected programme choices.
- Confirm that their programme subject combination is correct.
- Upload or attach a copy of their WASSCE results slip.
- Click on Submit to complete the application process.
Applicants are also required to download a soft copy of their completed application form and attach a copy of their WASSCE results slip.
The university has instructed applicants to send the documents via WhatsApp to 0552590370 immediately.
2. Prospective Applicants
UENR has also reminded prospective applicants that applications for the 2026/2027 academic year are still open.
Applicants who are interested in studying at the University of Energy and Natural Resources but have not yet applied are encouraged to purchase the required e-voucher and complete the application process.
The e-voucher can be obtained through the UENR Admissions Portal or from authorised points, including:
- Ghana Post Offices
- GCB Bank
- Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG)
- Fidelity Bank
- Prudential Bank
- UENR Finance Directorate
- UENR Accra Office
Applicants can then follow the same procedure outlined for awaiting applicants, including updating their details and submitting their WASSCE results.

Important Reminder to Applicants
Applicants should ensure that all information entered on the admissions portal is accurate before submitting their applications.

Those who have already applied and were awaiting their results should not assume that their application is automatically complete. They should log into the portal, update the required information and submit the application as directed by UENR.
