Teacher trainees in some public Colleges of Education have started receiving payments of their outstanding allowances from the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).
The latest development was noticed on Monday, November 2, 2026, after some beneficiaries confirmed that money had been credited to their bank accounts. The payments have brought relief to trainees who have been waiting for their allowances.
According to a transaction record shared by one teacher trainee, a total amount of GH₵600 was received through a GCB Student Current Account.
Some Trainees Receive GH₵600 in Three Separate Payments
The transaction history shows that the beneficiary received three different payments of GH₵200 each.
All three transactions were recorded on November 2, 2026, under the description “SLTF Trainee Allowance Disbursement.”
Below is the breakdown of the payment:
| Transaction Description | Date | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| SLTF Trainee Allowance Disbursement | Nov. 2, 2026 | GH₵200 |
| SLTF Trainee Allowance Disbursement | Nov. 2, 2026 | GH₵200 |
| SLTF Trainee Allowance Disbursement | Nov. 2, 2026 | GH₵200 |
| Total Received | GH₵600 |
The three separate credits suggest that the beneficiary has received allowances covering three months, with each payment amounting to GH₵200.
However, the payment may not reflect the same way for every trainee, as disbursement and clearance processes can differ.
How to Confirm Whether Your Allowance Has Been Paid
Teacher trainees are encouraged to check their bank accounts to find out whether their allowances have been paid.
For trainees using GCB, they can log into their mobile banking applications and check their transaction history for payments carrying the description “SLTF Trainee Allowance Disbursement.”
Beneficiaries should carefully check the amounts received and the dates of the transactions. It is also advisable to keep screenshots or copies of their transaction records for future reference.
Some Colleges May Still Be Waiting for Clearance
Although some trainees have started receiving their allowances, others may have to wait before their payments are processed.
Earlier information from the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) indicated that clearance had not been granted for trainees from the following institutions:
- Savannah College of Education
- Christ the Teacher College of Education
- Ghana Muslim Mission College of Education
- Al-Faruk College of Education
Trainees from these colleges, as well as those who have not received their payments, are advised to contact their college administrations or TTAG representatives for the latest information.
They should also ensure that their personal registration details are correct and that their bank accounts are active.
More Trainees Await Their Allowances
The payment of GH₵600 to some beneficiaries is welcome news for teacher trainees who have been expecting their outstanding allowances.
However, it is important to note that the GH₵600 payment was confirmed through an individual trainee’s transaction history. This does not mean that all teacher trainees have received the same amount.
Beneficiaries are therefore encouraged to monitor their accounts as they await further payments from the Students Loan Trust Fund.
