Update on the payment of Four Months Teacher Trainees’ Allowance Rumor
There have been several reports and messages circulating on social media, especially on various WhatsApp platforms, claiming that four months of teacher trainees’ allowance will soon be paid into trainees’ accounts.
GH EDU PRO wishes to inform all teacher trainees that this information remains a rumor for now. As of the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from the relevant authorities regarding the payment of the alleged four months’ allowance.
On June 4, 2026, the leadership of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) provided an update on the allowance situation. According to the leadership, continuous engagement is being maintained with the Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to facilitate the payment process.
TTAG indicated that once the ongoing validation and data-uploading exercise is completed, payment of the outstanding allowances could commence in the following week. However, the association did not provide a specific payment date.
The leadership further encouraged all teacher trainees to provide accurate information during the validation and uploading process. This, they noted, is important to prevent errors that could lead to delayed or missed payments.
TTAG also expressed its sincere appreciation to PRINCOF for its continuous support and cooperation throughout the process.
Despite these assurances, GH EDU PRO advises teacher trainees to treat all claims of imminent payment with caution until the allowance is officially credited to their accounts or an official announcement is made by the relevant authorities.
Teacher trainees are encouraged to remain calm, stay informed through credible sources, and avoid spreading unverified information on social media.
GH EDU PRO will continue to monitor developments and provide timely updates as new information becomes available.
