“Former NSA Boss Paid MP to Stop Ghost Names Scandal” – Dr. Dominic Ayine
The Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has revealed that the former Director General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Osei Assibey Antwi, made payments to a Ghanaian Member of Parliament (MP) to prevent the media from reporting on a ghost names scandal.
Dr. Ayine shared updates on the investigation led by the Office of the Attorney General and the ORAL team, confirming that significant progress had been made in exposing corruption in the scheme.

According to him, eight suspects connected to the National Service Scheme (NSS) scandal have been interrogated, with some providing crucial evidence.
“With the National Service Scandal, eight suspects have been interrogated, and a good number of them have started singing,” he stated.
He further revealed that investigators had found proof of payments made to top executives of the NSS by private vendors.
“We now have evidence of payments that were made into the accounts of the top executives of the National Service by private vendors of the scheme,” he disclosed.

One of the most shocking revelations was that in November 2024, the CEO of the NSS and others allegedly paid a Member of Parliament to stop the media from covering the scandal and to defend them.

The Attorney General assured Ghanaians that the investigation would be completed soon, and prosecutions would begin.
“Because these matters are still under investigation, I can confirm that the investigation will conclude in the National Service and the Sky Train Scandal by the middle of April for the prosecution to begin,” he said.
