The management of Savannah College of Education, Daboya, has suspended all teaching and teaching-related activities following student protests on campus. This decision was announced in a memo dated 4th March 2025, signed by the acting College Secretary on behalf of the Vice Principal. The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has given approval for loan payments to 9,433 students studying in 62 public and private tertiary institutions in Ghana. This decision is one of the first major actions taken by Dr. Saajida Shiraz since she became the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Trust Fund. The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has issued an important update regarding the February allowance for all national service personnel. In a statement dated March 2, 2025, NASPA informed personnel that there will be a GHS100 deduction from their February allowance.
