NSA Releases PIN Codes for Over 18,000 Nurses and Midwives for the 2025/26 National Service Year
The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) have been released for 18,011 trained nurses and midwives.
This announcement was made on April 17, 2025, to help eligible individuals prepare for their national service in the 2025/2026 service year.
According to the NSA, all eligible nurses and midwives should visit the Authority’s website at www.nss.gov.gh to check their PIN codes. They will need their Student IDs and dates of birth to access the codes.

As part of the process, applicants must pay a registration fee. The statement explains that “a registration fee of GH¢40.00 MUST be paid at any branch of the ADB Bank to obtain access to the enrolment platform. Alternatively, payment of GH¢41.00 could be made via MTN MoMo.”

Registration began on April 17, 2025, and will end on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. NSA encourages all prospective national service personnel to complete the registration within this time.

The NSA also reminded the public that, according to the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), “every Ghanaian citizen who has attained the age of eighteen (18) years or more and has completed any accredited tertiary institution, which includes universities, and Nursing Training Colleges are MANDATED by law to undertake national service to the State.”

This means it is a legal requirement for trained nurses and midwives to serve the country through national service once they have completed their training.
The Director-General of the NSA, Mr. Felix Gyamfi, signed the statement and thanked all applicants for their cooperation.
