Update on Teacher Trainees’ Outrageous Fees and Latest Development
The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has released a statement calling for calm among all teacher trainees across the country. This comes after concerns were raised over the newly released school fees structure for the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to the statement signed by Victor Atsu Anyidoho, General Secretary, and Nanija Divine, President of TTAG, the leadership has already started talks with the necessary authorities to ensure clarity and fairness on the matter.

“The Association wishes to assure all Teacher Trainees that leadership has initiated engagement with the relevant stakeholders, including the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF), Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), and the Ministry of Education, to seek clarity and fairness on the matter,” the statement said.
TTAG is urging all trainees not to rush into making any payments until everything is made clear. “All Teacher Trainees are advised to exercise restraint in making any payments until the issues are fully understood and a clear direction is communicated.”

TTAG further encouraged trainees to stay calm and united as leadership continues to handle the situation. “Let us remain calm, united, and confident in the process,” the statement added.
TTAG emphasized its commitment to standing with trainees and ensuring fairness in all decisions. “Building a formidable TTAG front! Teacher Trainees at heart! TTAG, we mean well!!!”
